01 · Speaking Freely
What Is Psychoanalysis? Insight-Driven Therapy That Works
Psychoanalysis is a depth-oriented form of therapy that goes beyond symptom relief to address the underlying causes of emotional distress. If you’re searching for psychoanalysis in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles, or remote psychoanalysis in California, this work offers a structured yet open space to explore what’s truly shaping your inner life.
At its core, psychoanalysis is a practice of speaking freely. It creates the conditions for you to express thoughts, feelings, and concerns that may not find space elsewhere. This includes material that feels unclear, contradictory, or even uncomfortable—often the very places where meaningful change begins.
This process may involve exploring long-standing behavioral patterns, relationship dynamics and emotional attachments, family history and formative experiences, dreams, fantasies, and unconscious associations, and moments of conflict, hesitation, or repetition.
By paying close attention to these elements, psychoanalysis helps reveal the deeper logic behind what may feel confusing or stuck.
02 · A Different Kind of Therapy
My Approach: Beyond Advice and Quick Fixes
Unlike short-term or solution-focused therapies, psychoanalysis does not rely on preset techniques or generalized advice. Instead, it centers on your unique experience. Together, we examine recurring patterns—how you relate to others, how you respond to challenges, and how certain situations repeat in ways that feel difficult to change.
Over time, psychoanalysis can lead to a shift in how you experience yourself and your life. Symptoms such as anxiety, dissatisfaction, or emotional pain are approached not as isolated problems, but as meaningful signals pointing toward something deeper.
My practice welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life paths. Each person’s experience is approached with care and without assumption.
Psychoanalysis is not a one-size-fits-all model; it is shaped by your history, your language, and your way of making sense of the world.
Psychoanalysis is not limited to a fixed number of sessions. It is an open-ended process that continues for as long as it remains meaningful to you.
Most people attend sessions between one and four times per week, depending on their goals and availability. This flexibility allows the work to deepen at a pace that supports lasting change.
Open-ended work, at a pace that supports lasting change.
